Install Eclipse for J2EE Developers in Ubuntu

May 13, 2013

If you install Eclipse using apt-get in the Ubuntu command line, you’ll install the Eclipse for Java developers version, will not install the Eclipse for J2EE Developers version. At this time, you need to add the J2EE/WEB feature by “Help -> install new software” in Eclipse.

If you cannot find “servers” view, then you may have the Eclipse for Java Developers version.

To direct install the Eclipse for J2EE developers version:

1. go to the Eclipse website http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

2. Download the right version, make sure is the J2EE version

3. Extract the File in the right directory
